Welcome to the Board of Examiners

The Board of Examiners consists of the Governor (president), Secretary of State (secretary), and Attorney General. Meetings are held at the seat of government at times set by the president; if either officer is absent, a pro tempore officer may be elected.

When authorized by a bond act and within its limits, the board may issue and sell state bonds as it deems appropriate. A “bond act” is legislation approved by two-thirds of each house of the Legislature or by a majority of voters that authorizes bond issuance for a specified purpose.
