The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) supervises, regulates and
 examines those Montana-chartered banks that are not members of the Federal Reserve System, and all Montana-licensed depository financial services loan companies. In addition, the FDIC insures deposits at all national banks and nearly all state-chartered banks, including all Montana-chartered banks; nearly all savings associations, including all federally-chartered savings and loan associations; and all Montana-licensed depository financial services loan companies. Federal Reserve Bank
