BONA FIDE NOT-FOR-PROFIT ENTITIES
Bona fide not-for-profit entities that wish to perform mortgage activities can qualify for an exemption from licensing requirements by filing the following reports with the Montana Division of Banking and Financial Institutions:
- Reports filed with federal, state, tribal, local government, or housing finance agencies and authorities
- BFNP Certification Form
The Division will review the documents and provide a certificate of exemption. Exempt entities must submit the BFNP Certification form every year by December 31st to remain exempt. Please email completed forms to mortgagelicensing@mt.gov or mail to PO Box 200546 Helena, MT 59620-0546.
